David Lawlor - BSc (Hons) Head Coach, LTA licensed coach, CCA qualified
I started coaching in 2001 straight out of University having gained an honours degree in sports and exercise science. I soon realised that I wanted a career in tennis coaching and focused on improving my coaching skills and knowledge base. I passed my CCA qualification in 2003, progressing on to the PCA qualification in 2004. In 2006 I became Head Coach here at Harpenden.
I have great enthusiasm and drive to deliver a quality tennis programme and coaching sessions from mini tennis to adult tennis. My philosophy is ‘the pursuit of excellence’ which requires a strong work ethic, determination, and motivation. My belief is that any player who implements the above will keep improving and over time will reach their full potential.
